About this demonstration policy
Lagoon Heights Academy is a fictional demonstration school. This policy illustrates a complete school process as at 8 October 2026; it is not an approved policy of an operating school or a claim of legal certification. The sample email, telephone and address are not monitored services. Do not submit real children’s information, send money or rely on this demo for urgent help. A live school must approve its own details and procedures before using this copy.
What these terms cover
These terms explain use of Lagoon Heights Academy’s website and linked school services. Browsing the public pages does not enrol a child, reserve a place, enter an education contract or authorise a charge. For an operating school, the written offer, fee schedule and accepted admission agreement set out the actual education service. If those documents differ from general website descriptions, ask the school for clarification before accepting or paying. The demonstration school supplies no real education or emergency service.
Accurate information and responsible use
Provide information you are entitled to submit and correct material mistakes promptly. A family member must not apply in another guardian’s name, hide a relevant legal restriction or upload another child’s confidential documents. You may read the site, contact the school and use an account specifically granted to you. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape private records, impersonate staff, upload harmful files or use the site to harass others. The Acceptable Use policy gives further practical rules.
Accounts and authorised access
Keep credentials and verification codes private. A phone or email verification establishes control of that contact route; the school still verifies your relationship and permissions. Permissions for learning, payments, consent and collection can differ and can be revoked. If circumstances change, tell the school promptly. It may restrict access to investigate a security concern or protect a child, explain the restriction where lawful and provide a way to ask for review. Essential communications and privacy-rights requests can be handled through a verified school contact even when online access is unavailable.
Applications and decisions
Submitting an enquiry or application creates a request for human review. It does not guarantee an assessment, offer, scholarship or admission. The school confirms age/class suitability, capacity, records and support arrangements, and provides an outcome through an authorised process. Automated reminders and checklists assist staff; they do not replace the decision-maker. Do not rely on an unofficial message, screenshot or campaign claim as an admission offer.
Payments and cancellations
Pay only against the school’s verified invoice and authorised payment instructions. Hosted provider checkout has its own terms. Uploading a transfer slip is a pending notice, not a receipt. A receipt follows verification; an approved refund is not marked paid until the outgoing bank transaction is confirmed. Read Fees and Refunds before committing to a charge or optional programme. These terms do not turn every processing fee into a non-refundable fee or remove rights that Nigerian law gives a consumer.
Content, third parties and availability
School text, approved photographs and branding may be used for personal reference; ask before commercial republication. Do not republish a child’s image or private material merely because you can view it. External links, provider sign-in and payment screens are operated under their own notices. The school aims to keep information current but may need to correct a timetable, event or system error. For a deadline affected by an outage, contact the school and keep evidence of the problem. A website interruption is not permission to ignore an agreed fee or safeguarding duty, and the school should offer a practical alternative contact route.
Fairness, concerns and changes
A live school explains important changes to services or terms before they affect a family and keeps the applicable agreement available. Nothing here excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, prevents a regulator complaint, or requires you to accept an unfair term. Ask the office to explain a disputed instruction and use the Complaints procedure if it remains unresolved. This demonstration does not establish accreditation, inspection status, government approval or a legally approved school contract.
Contact and review
Sample school office: admissions@lagoon.example; telephone +234 800 000 0000; address Illustrative Lekki campus, Lagos, Nigeria. These are demonstration details. For a real case, use the verified contact details of the school your child attends. The school office routes privacy matters to the privacy lead, child-protection matters to the safeguarding lead, and fee queries to finance. This edition is dated 8 October 2026. Material changes should be explained to affected families before they take effect.
