About this demonstration policy
Lagoon Heights Academy is a fictional demonstration school. This policy illustrates a complete school process as at 8 October 2026; it is not an approved policy of an operating school or a claim of legal certification. The sample email, telephone and address are not monitored services. Do not submit real children’s information, send money or rely on this demo for urgent help. A live school must approve its own details and procedures before using this copy.
Respect people and their information
Use school services for the authorised school purpose. Treat children, families and staff respectfully. Bullying, discriminatory abuse, sexual content involving children, threats, deception and public sharing of private records are prohibited. A class group or portal is not a place to publish a family’s health, custody or debt information. Share safeguarding concerns privately with the responsible adult instead of spreading an allegation.
Protect your account
Use your own authorised account and keep passwords, recovery codes and one-time codes private. Do not borrow a staff or another guardian’s account. A child’s account is opened according to the school’s age and permission rules. Report a lost device, unexpected sign-in or an incorrect family link promptly. On a shared device, avoid saving sensitive downloads, protect any local draft and sign out. Staff must use the required additional authentication and may not extend their access simply because a record identifier is known.
Use learning materials honestly
Follow the teacher’s instructions for assignments, collaboration and references. Do not submit someone else’s work as your own, distribute an assessment improperly or misuse a classmate’s submission. Ask before using an external AI or other online service for schoolwork; never paste identifiable pupil, health, safeguarding or financial records into an unapproved tool. The school should explain age-appropriate rules and give a pupil a chance to understand and correct a mistake.
Keep files and communications safe
Upload only files you are authorised to provide and label them accurately. Do not include harmful software, disguised file types, abusive content or unrelated confidential documents. Use private submission or document channels for sensitive work. Payment proof is reviewed by finance; it must not be altered or used to claim a collection that did not occur. Do not request passwords, full payment-card details or a bank change through a group message.
Technical misuse and proportionate response
Do not probe for other schools’ or campuses’ data, bypass restrictions, automate abusive requests, scrape private records or interfere with availability. Report a suspected vulnerability privately with enough information to reproduce the concern without copying children’s data. Staff investigate proportionately, preserve relevant evidence and restrict access when needed for safety or security. A user can ask for the restriction to be reviewed and receive an explanation where lawful. A child’s welfare and an appropriate educational response remain central; misuse does not justify humiliating punishment or arbitrary disclosure.
Contact and review
Sample school office: admissions@lagoon.example; telephone +234 800 000 0000; address Illustrative Lekki campus, Lagos, Nigeria. These are demonstration details. For a real case, use the verified contact details of the school your child attends. The school office routes privacy matters to the privacy lead, child-protection matters to the safeguarding lead, and fee queries to finance. This edition is dated 8 October 2026. Material changes should be explained to affected families before they take effect.
